aren't i handsome?

Don't you think Indy dog is handsome?
Daddy wants to rip the heart bandana off of him.
Really?
At this point, being dressed up in girly things
is sort of his hobby.
Well, maybe not HIS hobby,
but there are a couple of girlies around here
who smiled extra big when they saw this special Valentine's surprise
Indy's girlfriend, Ms. Jen, spoils him!
Groomed & handsome.
Let's see how long it takes him to roll around in something stinky!  :)

we have news...

I'm not a fan of writing blog posts without pictures, so I'll see what I can come up with for this one!

The big news is that we found out where our next Air Force adventure will take us...

Spangdahlem AB, Germany!!!

After mentally preparing ourselves for the possibility of being separated for a year, we received the great news that we'll be headed to Germany sometime this summer!  As for Abby, she had a huge breakdown (could have had something to do with the fact her father told her if we moved to WY she could have a horse...speculating here!), but I think she's calmed down now.  :)  I just keep showing her pictures of snow in Germany & told her she could see Cinderella's castle.  Fun times.

That's all for today!  So, make your plans to visit before the end of summer...oh, and we'd love to have you visit Germany too!

Off to bed,
Momma J

p.s. Here are some random pictures...our little kitchen helpers making hamburgers.  They like theirs extra smashed.  :)

finally...

We have 2 girlies that were BEYOND happy.
It snowed!
Total surprise.
After rest time, there was no stopping them.

They were out the door in their regular pants before Mommy even knew what they were up to!

So cute how happy they were...not much snow, but they were going to SLED.

Oh, and let us not forget our snow dog.
Indy LOVES the snow.
Loves.

After a wardrobe change...
someone put on one of her favorite expressions as well.
Can't you just see her as a teenager?  :)

Pure joy!

A has now decided that we better move somewhere that will have more snow than we do here in lovely VA.  We shall see...I'm sure we can take some trips to see our CO Johnson contingent to help her with her snow dreams.  We seriously need to get this girl on some skis or on a snowboard.  She is a maniac!

Happy 2012!

Well, hello there.

I have to report that there was no injury or enormous computer issue that has kept me away from the blog.
{SINCE HALLOWEEN!}

It's just sleep.
As a grown adult, I have decided it is more important to get to bed at a reasonable hour than I thought in my youth (for that matter, more important than I thought in Korea!).
So, you could say I am turning into my mother.
There are worse things!  :)

You can hold out hope that our family will be sent to some far-off land...
then, maybe I will become a regular blogger again.

So, back to the matter at hand--Happy 2012!
We are calling it 20 (twenty) 12 (twelve) by the way.

Here's to hearing from us a little more regularly?!

p.s. The picture is so special...GG Jane ended up making the trip to VA.  The girls were beside themselves.

It's a first...

We have been waiting and waiting for this...Abby lost her first tooth!  :)  It seems like it has been loose forever, and since she is almost 7, she felt like it was past time to lose one!

It was while Grandma, Pawpaw, UB & GG Jane were here.  We went to check out the Dulles Air & Space Museum that day, and went to Moe's for a late lunch.  Abby loves her some Moe's.  She loves it even more now...

Right after she pulled the tiny little thing from her mouth!

This is where it happened...  :)

Thank goodness Mommy finished the Tooth Fairy Pillow...
Abby would've had to shove that thing back in there!

I just don't remember baby teeth being this itty bitty--that thing is TINY.

Here is her ballerina fairy tooth pillow...in case you get the itch to make one yourself, here is the info!

Abby thought she might get $20 from the Tooth Fairy. :)  After I stopped laughing, I told her that inflation hadn't gone up that much.  The Tooth Fairy used to bring me 25 cents, so I think her $1 was just about right!

a peek @ halloween...

I'm so slow these days...here's a peek at the big night.
Abby was a machine.
Give the girl a beautiful dress, send her out for a night of candy & compliment gathering and it's a big night.
Beks...not so much.
She visited maybe 4 houses & wanted to go home for the stroller!
She didn't want to go home--she had fun watching Abby Trick or Treat!  :)

Short on time, we were!  We did fancy princess hair & everything...you can tell we were in a hurry because there aren't 100+ pictures of their hairdos!  :)  You can thank me later!

Beautiful Cinderella (in her wedding dress!)--Daddy wasn't crazy about the wedding dress part, but she sure looked amazingly cute (even with the extra layers & shoes she wasn't crazy about wearing)!

Cinderella & Belle waiting to leave...good thing you can't see Belle's irritation with me!

Not much patience with Mommy, but here they are posing with their pumpkins!
<Note: Abby is sitting on the *shoes*>

Daddy sure does nice work!  :)

one day in maine

I'm so fast at blog updating.  Like lightening.  :)
Daddy came home, and we have just enjoyed being together.  Oh, and I homeschool.  And occasionally try to clean my home.  For some reason, life just doesn't stand still...and it couldn't be my outstanding time management skills.  Because, well, they are nonexistent outstanding these days.
Okay, enough with the excuses.  Here are the pictures of our very first day in Maine.
I wish we could go back already.  It was AMAZING!

We drove into Boothbay, and this was our first stop...

Waited in line for 30-45 minutes, so we were hoping for the best.
It was good...the Bobby Flay "Throwdown" Crab Cakes were our favorite here.

We (of course) also had a lobster roll--our first one of the trip!  :)
Oh, how I love lobster.
Love.

We are UPtown kinda people.
Beks thought this was cool.

Here was the view outside our lovely room at Ocean Point Inn.
There was a pool, a duck pond, all sorts of wonderful views.

Our first meal at the hotel.
No reservations on a holiday weekend.
That's how we roll!
They stuck us at a table they (thankfully) had in the back...we still managed to have amazing views.
Mommy chose the best meal.
Lobster Stew.  Yum.

Here's to the first installment of Maine...let's hope it doesn't take me another 3 weeks to get to the next bit!
